About the Australian Political Analysis Review
The Australian Political Analysis Review is a non-for-profit and open-source journal that produces high quality, factual, and non-partisan articles for students, academics and those interested in political and international affairs.
APAR evaluates academic material to produce insightful ideas, opinions and critiques to help readers develop a robust understanding of concepts and theories.
APAR consistently engages with academic material produced from prestigious reputable journals, including JSTOR, Sage, Princeton University Press as well as Oxford University’s International Affairs Volumes. Our approach proudly refuses to engage with mainstream media sources in order to uphold our high editorial standards.
APAR was established by Jasper Wiggins in 2025 as apart of the University of Melbourne’s Hashtag Cyberstar February Intensive.

Jasper Wiggins is a final year student at the University of Melbourne who is completing a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and International Relations.
Jasper has a deep interest in the function of public policy and how political ideas are transfer from theory to practice.
Jasper is current a Parliamentary Intern at the Parliament of Victoria in Melbourne.
